Check any surf spot in New Jersey

Spot Check replaces the drive up and down Ocean Avenue. Click anywhere on the water between Sandy Hook and Cape May Point and it pulls the conditions for that exact point: wave height and swell period, swell and wind direction, wind speed and gusts, water and air temperature, the next tides, and how the next five days are trending.

Nothing is pre-set, so you are not limited to the well-known beaches. If your sandbar sits between two towns, or you would rather not say out loud where it is, click it directly and read the numbers for that spot alone.

Every figure comes from free public sources — the Open-Meteo marine and weather models, NOAA CO-OPS tide predictions and NDBC offshore buoys — so there is nothing to sign up for and nothing to pay.

Or jump straight to a town forecast

All 48 beach towns on the Jersey Shore have a full forecast page with tide tables, hourly wave charts and a written outlook.
